The meat distribution is under establishment. All exported crocodile meat is needs to be monitored and certified by the South African Perishable Products Export Control Board.

Crocodile meat has a firm-texture. It is a white meat with a good nutritional composition and compares well with more traditional meats.

Crocodile meat is low in cholesterol, a good red meat alternative and low in fat and high in protein.
